We are a passionate group of highly experienced
professionals, coming from diverse backgrounds, all working
with one goal in mind: We strive to exceed client
expectations on every project. We don’t think going Green
needs to be complicated or expensive.
Carolyn
Keith
LEED AP BD+C
Founding Principal and Managing Director of Marketing and
Business Development
With 33 years of business experience, working on 3
continents, assisting dozens of top national and
international Fortune 500 companies, Carolyn brings business
acumen, marketing savvy, a long standing environmental
commitment, as well as a green interior design perspective
to EcoLogic. As Principal and a LEED Accredited
Professional, her bi-lingual project management, advertising
and diverse business background, in all market segments, has
helped establish the studio as an industry leader in
environmental sustainability and LEED certification.
EcoLogic’s project roster includes over 85 buildings located
throughout the western US and Mexico, all undergoing LEED
certification or LEED certified. Active in numerous non
profits and civic organizations, Carolyn is a member of the
Board of Directors for the US Green Building Council- San
Diego chapter and is a frequent speaker on sustainability
topics. Carolyn enjoys international travel and sports,
including downhill skiing and scuba diving.

Katrina Rosa
Founding Principal and
Director of Sustainability
A registered
architect, LEED Accredited Professional, Green Point Rater,
CGBP and BBP, Katrina has specialized in sustainable design,
education and the LEED certification programs for over 12
years. She holds a B.S. degree from Ithaca College, a M.A.
degree from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of
Architecture from California Polytechnic State University.
Katrina is a nationally recognized LEED consultant and
educator who has managed numerous LEED projects; from
hospitals, fire stations, and shopping centers to libraries,
military facilities and schools. Well known as a top
national consultant in environmental design and
construction, Katrina is a frequent speaker at Green
conferences and seminars and has published numerous articles
on the LEED green building certification programs and on
various sustainability topics.
Katrina currently serves on the USGBC’s National Technical
Advisory Group for Sustainable Sites. She is active in a
number of civic, community and charitable organizations,
including the U.S. Green Building Council –Los Angeles
Chapter, AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) and Farm
Sanctuary. When not consulting or educating green, Katrina
enjoys gardening, skiing and hiking with her three daughters
and friends.
Todd
Sykes
LEED Project Manager
Pursuing a life-long interest in improving the built
environment, Todd graduated from Michigan State University
with a Bachelors of Science degree in Building Construction
Management. Lured by San Diego’s world class weather and
beaches, Todd landed at a nationally known general
contracting firm. During his 10+ year tenure in construction
management, he served in many roles including Project
Engineer, Estimator, and Project Manager. Todd furthered his
professional development by successfully adding LEED AP and
DBIA Designated Professional after his name. Having worked
on a myriad of diverse projects, Todd brings a thorough
understanding of construction practices to The Ecologic
Studio as well as his deep commitment to lessening his
environmental footprint. An active volunteer with the USGBC-
San Diego chapter for over 4 years, Todd also finds time to
volunteer with Outdoor Outreach, a local non-profit serving
at-risk youth, as well as with Ganga Prem, a hospice
dedicated to terminally ill cancer patients in India.
Ron
Hand
LEED Project Manager
As Principal at E/FECT Sustainable Design Solutions, Ron
collaborates frequently with The EcoLogic Studio team on
LEED projects. A registered architect and LEED AP, Ron has
facilitated and administered the LEED process for numerous
projects ranging in type, scope and complexity including:
educational, military, commercial, industrial, retail,
multi-family and residential. He has worked in numerous LEED
Green Building Rating programs, including LEED BD&C, LEED
CI, LEED CS, LEED EB O&M and LEED for Homes. Additionally,
Ron actively provides green educational presentations,
trainings and seminars to the professional and manufacturing
sectors of the construction industry. As a graduate of
Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he
has practiced architecture for over thirty years. Personal
activities include family, travel, outdoor recreation and
experiencing the natural environment.

Alejandro Batiz
LEED Project Manager
As Principal and Founder of
CIVITA Green Building Design, based in Guadalajara, Mexico,
Alejandro oversees EcoLogic Studio’s LEED international
projects in Spanish speaking countries. Bilingual and
holding a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad
Iberoamericana de Guadalajara, his work on architectural and
construction projects incorporates an integrated design
approach, energy efficiencies and sustainability. With over
27 LEED projects completed or underway, Civitas is a leader
in the LEED certification field, as well as pioneering work
in improving energy and water efficiencies in existing
buildings throughout Mexico. As one of the leading
sustainability specialists in Mexico, Alejandro is a
frequent lecturer and educator on LEED certification and
green design and construction practices.

Carol Cole
Interior Designer, LEED AP &
Project Manager
With over 25
years in Interior Design and Construction Administration,
Carol is a dedicated professional with a passion for
bringing sustainable aspects to all projects, as well as to
our everyday lives. With a degree in Environmental and
Interior Design from UCLA, and having attended graduate
school in Architecture at the Southern California Institute
of Architecture, Carol has vast field construction
experience, and is versed in both the local and California
permitting process. With an expertise in Healthcare since
1990, her knowledge of OSHPD and Evidence Based Design makes
her a key Project Coordinator on hospitals and medical
projects of any size. At home, all electricity is supplied
by PV panels and recycling is a high priority. Carol is a
member of the USGBC-San Diego chapter and when not working,
she enjoys sailing and hiking with her husband and daughter
or reading thick novels.
